You Can Contribute In So Many Ways

Government agencies and non-profit agencies in Orange County (and elsewhere) are under increasing pressure. While the economic downturn has created a greater demand for services, funding is getting harder and harder to obtain.

2-1-1 Orange County is working tirelessly to replace our funding with donations from foundations, corporations and individuals. However, for those unable to give cash, there is another way to contribute: Become a volunteer.

Reward Yourself & Those Around You

At 2-1-1 Orange County, we welcome the help we receive from volunteers. There are a number of ways you can help:

  • Call Handler: Promptly answers phones, assesses callers’ needs, navigates the program database and directs callers to appropriate resources.

  • Resource Assistant: Works directly with our resource specialists to gather up-to-date information on services available in Orange County and entering that information into our computer database.

  • Community Ambassador: Attends outreach events on behalf of 2-1-1 OC.

  • Fundraising: Helps 2-1-1- Orange County reach the individuals and organizations that can assist us financially.

If you would like to contribute your time, talent and energy, please give us a call!

Personal crises can strike anyone -- young or old, rich or poor – especially during difficult economic times such as these. 2-1-1 Orange County is making a huge difference in the lives of people from every corner of the county, linking them to the help they need with a single toll-free telephone call.

We need your help

Although a federally mandated service, 2-1-1 call centers receive no financial support from the federal government. In Orange County, most of our support comes from private sources such as foundations, corporations, and individual donors.  Your support can help us make a difference in our community.
