For Agencies

2-1-1 Orange County (211OC) manages several programs which benefit local Orange County agencies.

2-1-1- Helpline & Resource Database

The 211 helpline requires updated agency, program and location information in order to provide accurate information and referrals to callers looking for services. We maintain relationships with organizations providing health and human services programs in order to keep our database of available resources up-to-date.

Read more about updating and applying for inclusion.

Continuum of Care (COC)

The CoC program is a shared responsibility of 2-1-1 Orange County and the OC Community Services. This group serves as the regional convener of the year-round CoC planning process and as a catalyst for the involvement of the public and private agencies that make-up the regional homeless system of care. Read more about the CoC here.

Coordinated Entry System (CES)

Provisions in the CoC Program interim rule at 24 CFR 578.7(a)(8) require that CoCs establish a Centralized or Coordinated Assessment System. 211OC is spearheading the Coordinated Entry system in Orange County.

Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)

Participating agencies gather and enter standardized client-level and demographic data into HMIS, such as First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, Address Data Quality, Disability and Chronically Homeless. Each Continuum of Care (CoC) would like continued HUD funding must have an HMIS in place. Read more about the HMIS here.
